Steve Hoare, journalist and managing editor

Steve is the founder of Sussex Publishing and your first point of contact for all projects.

He has over 20 years experience  working as an editor, news editor and reporter for publications such as Cities Today, Development Finance, The Lawyer, Gaming Intelligence, IFLR and The Week. He has worked with organisations such as international law firm Eversheds, Dutch development bank FMO and the World Lottery Association.

Sometimes he writes about sport and music.

Caroline Parry, journalist and editor

Caroline is an award-winning business journalist who has covered a range of sectors over the past two decades.

She is a former news editor of Marketing Week, who has also contributed features, comment and analysis for leading titles such as Retail Week, The Drum, Broadcast, Drapers and Museums Journal.

She also writes and researches white papers and long-form projects.

Michael Sullivan, director

Michael has more than 20 years experience as an art director. Before co-founding forty6design he worked at Emap and The Yorkshire Post. 

Michael has vast experience in web design, magazine redesigns, directories, marketing campaigns and event launches. 

His specialities include typography, creative concepts and corporate identity.   

Alan Bingle, director

Alan has nearly 25 years experience in publishing and design, both as a director at forty6design and as the art director of prestigious magazine brands such as Screen International, Drapers and Broadcast.

Alan has a wealth of experience in all aspects of branding, editorial design, award-winning magazine redesigns, marketing, advertising and the print production process.


Camilla Cary-Elwes, founder

Camilla set up The Copy Editor in 2010 to provide remote editing services to companies such as BBC Worldwide, Conde Naste, IPC Media, Northern & Shell and Redwood.
